The North Carolina Zen Center’s Memorial Garden is a space of quiet reflection and deep reverence—created to honor those who have walked the path of practice, their loved ones, and others connected to our community.
The second phase, which is still to come, will be to construct a small pagoda with an altar, a place for quiet sitting, and shelving for ashes to be kept. Both the garden and the pagoda will allow memorial services for family and friends.
Located in a natural setting on our grounds, the Memorial Garden offers a sacred space to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have passed. Whether through a bronze name plaque, the interment or scattering of ashes, or a simple memorial service, the Garden provides a way to mark the impermanence of life with grace and intention.
